Easter 2016

Hi everyone, happy Tuesday!

We had a lovely Easter and Easter weekend. It was so fabulous with my little family of four!

weekend highlights:

  • Zumba with my girls
  • baking cookies with Lily
  • temple date with Jared & friends
  • swimming with Jared & the girls
  • housework/projects
  • dying eggs as a family (it was cray cray with a toddler!!)
  • grilling in the backyard
  • early bedtimes
  • Easter baskets & candy
  • church
  • Easter dinner/dessert & festivities hosted by us for family

It was packed and wonderful!

My favorite part of the whole weekend was watching Lily begin to understand more about the Savior. We still do Easter baskets & candy and such, but before we even had her & Lexi find their baskets, we watched a special video about Him & sang a song about Him. She can feel His spirit near, I know it!

The other highlight was having my sister & her fam and my little bro join us for Easter dinner & festivities. It was so much fun (and so delicious)!

We had a low key weekend, Brunch with the family and then nothing else. My parents were away so we just laid low. We went to a farm on Saturday and it was sooo nice outside! Not sure how much Sully understood about the animals but fun to have him see different ones then in picture books!

  6. Easter is just around the corner, and that means that Easter eggs are being hidden, and the Easter Bunny is nearby. Whether your kids are Easter egg hunting experts or are still in baby bunny boot camp, these events will please the whole family. I remember the Easter traditions of my childhood and how much I enjoyed them. Everyone was involved. All of the women made their “special dishes,” we got new clothes, colored eggs and went to church services. Afterwards we’d enjoy a feast. These traditions included the whole family, even those who were suffering from dementia. Easter is a glorious celebration for Christians. It can also be fun for those who do not follow the faith.

Either way, I hope you have a good Easter.
