WIAW-Eats on Holiday Vacay

Hiiii!

Yesterday was a doozy. Coming back after a long vacation is always tough! But it felt good to fall into bed feeling accomplished & happy.

And with snuggles before bed with my little baby girl, it doesn’t get any better!

So today I am going to do something drastic……

…I am linking up to what I ate wednesday! <—check out more about what it is

I’ve never done this before, so I’m hoping I’m doing this right. heh. I’ve been seriously slacking on taking any pictures of my food so I thought I’d just share some yummy bites I’ve enjoyed during the holiday vacay all in one post! {obviously this is not all I ate, but I didn’t take many food pics, so it is what it is}

1. Spinach salad.

I ate a ton of salads while at home because my dad always has greens on hand (he does most of the bulk grocery shopping at Costco). Pretty much had a salad at every dinner and sometimes at lunch. Thanks daddy!

2. Potato & corn chowder with homemade honey whole wheat bread.

My sister made the chowder and my other sister (Sara) made the bread. Can we say YUMM?!

3. Shrimp with cocktail sauce, salad, and fruit.

This was my dinner plate (x4) on New Year’s Eve. We had a lovely dinner to celebrate my dad’s bday (the 31st), and he always requests meat fondue & shrimp. I loooovveee shrimp so I ate a buttload of it. Plus some salad & fruiiiittt.

4. Ice cream sundae.

I ate this almost every night! Too many desserts to choose from made it tough to eat every night. ;) I love my ice cream concoctions!

5. Green smoothie.

I made a green smoothie for everyone several days during vacay and they were a hit! (spinach, frozen mixed berries, oj, and stevia)

6. Soup, salad, and veggie spring rolls at the Hibachi restaurant.

This was my starter food at the restaurant. It was sooooo good!

7. FRUIT.

I ate bucketloads of fruit while at home. And this fruit salad was a good indicator of all that yummy winter fruit. Mmmmm!

***

I ate a bunch of Christmas cookies, tons of chocolates, and several cups of hot cocoa most days of vacation, but they were eaten so quick I never got a picture. Just imagine it being enjoyed & pictured above. ;)

Well, there ya have it! A smattering of photos of my food from vacay. ‘Twas a delicious vacation indeed.
