Evil Doesn’t Win

Hi friends!

How are you this fine Thursday?

Things are good here, yesterday Lily didn’t want to nap on her own though, so most of my day was spent with her in my arms. Which is a wonderful way to simply slow down & enjoy the moments with my little doll. <3

We also read stories, and I did get a HIIT workout (wearing my Koss FitClips) in during one of her good naps.

Evil Doesn’t Win

In 2 days it marks the 1-year date from that horrible tragedy in Sandy Hook. Many children (and a couple of adults) lost their lives when a young boy decided to shoot them all.

It is so so sad. My heart goes out to all those affected. <3

I came upon this beautiful video from one of the little victims’ mother. It brought me to tears and I just had to share!

It brings out a lot of emotion-anger, sadness, fear, hope. But it really makes me realize that evil didn’t win then, and it won’t ever win. God’s goodness and the light we all have within us will create more hope & love, and that always, always beats any evil that people decide to create.

Please watch it–it is so beautiful & sends a message to us all: love, hope, goodness will WIN. Every time. And always.

If the video doesn’t work above, find it at this link.

We get to decide what we do; we all have our agency to choose (that is a God given right to all), so what will we choose? Each day, every day? Will we choose good over evil? Will we choose to be kind, loving, and good?

Thankful Thursday

  1. I am thankful for boots. They help me steer clear of the piles of snow while holding the baby carrier!
  2. I am grateful that medical bills (for baby/delivery) weren’t as much as I thought they’d be. Phew!
  3. I am thankful for people who choose to love, to do good, and to be thankful. They are such inspirations to me!

Have a WONDERFUL day! <3

I am so not a cryer… yet that video just brought me to tears. such a beautiful message. Living in CT there is no absence of reminder of the tragedy. I like to think that the community has come together and that the evil is not winning. It just seems to be getting so much worse these days… it’s horrible. But at least people show that good can come from it!

    • That is so wonderful to hear that the community has come together <3

I agree-it's so sad to see so many making evil choices....but we can choose to let good win & love win. You're awesome, Trisha! :)

  5. so I’m glad I didn’t put makeup on yet this morning…that was such a beautiful video, with an incredibly powerful message.

  6. My favorite book as a kid was “Go Dog Go” and “Are You My Mother?”. LOVED those books. My mom didn’t like very many of Dr. Seuss books because the thought there was a bad storyline (aka I never read “Cat in the Hat”!).

That video is great – brought tears to my eyes. It is so true – goodness will prevail! Love the quote, “things always work out in the end. If things haven’t worked out then it isn’t the end.” The tough part of life is sometimes just waiting to see how exactly God works things together for good
