Last Chance Survey

Hey friends!

Update: still pregnant. (12 days past my due date now)

Oh and for the record, I’ve tried absolutely everything to induce labor. I’ve googled my eyes out about it & have done everything that it has said + anything people have told me to try.

And now I’m going to try castor oil. I was waiting until I got desperate to do it…..

Some people say it totally works, and others (like my sister), say it just sent them to the bathroom for a loooong time & did absolutely nothing in terms of labor.

Hence why I waited until I was DESPERATE.

WISH me luck.

And just for fun, I thought I’d do a survey to keep things light & happy around here as we all await this little, stubborn, adorable, princess Baby Perks.

Ashley had a fun survey on her blog a little while ago, so I’m stealing it. Thanks, girl! 😉 I also added a few questions just for kicks & giggles.

Last Chance Survey

An apple.

2. Last beverage you drank?

I’m currently sipping on lemon herbal tea. I love herbal tea!

  2. So I randomly ran across your blog this morning and I felt like I just had to leave you a comment. You may have already tried this, but I would strongly recommend visiting a chiropractor. I started going during my last pregnancy a week before I delivered. I was limping my back hurt so badly and I was having early contractions. I walked out in minimal pain and the contractions stopped. It is my understanding that a misaligned pelvis can either prevent labor from starting or can cause early contractions because it prevents baby from being in the ideal position for delivery. You can google it and see more information.

If you have never been to a chiropractor before I would recommend asking for recommendations from friends or people at your gym. There are some real new agey quacks out there. I lucked out. My chiropractor was a mom, a runner, and had a special table to adjust for a pregnant belly.

Good luck with it and I’ll be praying that your baby comes swiftly and safely.

  3. Hope the oil works!!!

When was the last time YOU slept for 10 hours?? HA! Before I had Kaylin I”m sure
What was YOUR last workout?? I taught Step last night

  4. Crossing fingers for 10/28…;);) You’ve been so great….I think 4 more days won’t hurt, right?

Last time I slept 10 hours was definitely early on in my pregnancy.
Last GOOD workout was 2 Saturdays ago. :( I’m more tired lately and I’ve had some bad joint pains but I;’m hoping to kick ass this weekend at the gym and break a good sweat again!
Last final to-do list item is just to make it thru the work day and have to pick up a Rx at CVS then if I have strength, do some baking.
Some days it seems really hard, but I know I’m thankful for everything in my life. It is pretty great. :)

Good luck and try to enjoy your last moments with the belly (I know that’s easier said than done).

My baby girl came this october 1th at 40 weeks + 10 days. She didn’t want to go down. I had a C-section but I don’t regret it : I have a healthy baby now and I am a happy and healthy mum. Don’t be afraid of what can happen : be faithfull, trust your body and your baby. You both are gonna be so fine. I wish you luck :)

  9. Is your doctor going to induce you? I know my mom was induced with both me and my sister. My sister was supposed to be born on Halloween and she wasn’t born until Nov 6 once my mom was induced. Good thing too… she was already 7.5 pounds after 41 weeks! I can’t imagine how big she would have been if they had waited longer. Either way- COME ON BABY PERKSSSSSSSSSSSS

I am waiting til the last possible day/moment to be induced. I'm still hoping my body/baby cooperate here soon!

  10. Krista says:

I have a friend that did castor oil and she said it was horrible :( Contractions on top of contractions without a break…. Hope it works better for you!!

  11. I am thankful for my boyfriend. For getting my daughter ready to go to school every morning (even when she’s being a brat) so I can leave early and get my workout done before work.

My workout today was a speed workout, 400s, and lots of rolling and stretching.

The item on my to-do list is to work. Tuesdays and Thursdays are late days. I work at World Gym at night.

  12. That baby needs to come on out!!! Can’t believe 12 days past due and can’t imagine how much anticipation you’re having. The thing that got Braedon going was a lot of walking around. I paced my living room nonstop until finally my water broke.

both my mother and my sister ate a fried English breakfast and went into labor… go figure??!!!!

girl, with my life’s craziness and nomadic ways the last few months, i literally don’t remember the last time i slept more than 6 hours, lol. ohhhh i can’t wait to move, just 3 weeks. i feel like i’m almost right there with you in the waiting bubble, haha.

i swam this morning, but not hard and totally wasn’t what i was “supposed” to do, but i just couldn’t get myself to do a hard workout. oh wells, it’s all good! at least it’s pretty outside :)
last thing i need to do today is meet my sweetie for a lovely dinner and let him baby me!

i’m thankful for my job and the company i work for, and all the incredible strong and smart women here. i found a mentor and am so grateful that i attended that luncheon. God’s work is always so awesome!

    xoxoxox love you mamacita!!!!

  14. danielle says:

omg i’m curious about the hair thing!!! i heard about that and i’m totally curious. i feel like i have to wash mine daily! it gets all funky/greasy if i don’t, but i’d love to know how i can wash it less. but i feel i have to since i sweat SOOOOOO much… ???

    • I used to wash my hair EVERY DAY b/c it is def an oily type, but my hairdresser told me to wean off of that. so I started by only washing every other day. then graduated to longer distances in between 😉

when I don’t wash it, I use baby powder to avoid the ‘oily’ look near my head

  15. Girl, I can’t believe you’re 12 days past your due day! Sweet baby just isn’t ready to come out and play yet! Best of luck to you, I’m sure she will say hello literally any minute now!! Exciting!!!

Final to-do list item: See my friend perform stand-up comedy tonight.
I’m thankful for my great family – they support me so much. I’m thankful for moments in the day where I can dream big. I’m thankful for peanut butter (sorry, it’s not almond!) and bananas – it’s been my morning snack now for weeks!

  18. I love this survey! My last workout was an upper body strength workout yesterday. And I am very thankful for a heated house and a loving family. Also, so jealous of your 10 hours of sleep–I cannot even remember the last time I had 10 hours!
