A Weekend Full of Faves!

Hey friends!

As the post’s title states, it was an incredible weekend! And the relatively nice, Spring weather didn’t hurt it either. 😉

A Weekend Full of Faves

It was truly a weekend full of faves–those things that make me smile and make my heart sing.

Friday I taught Zumba & worked.

Ate sushi.

{expensive but WORTH IT! I wanted ’em so bad}

And then after work, met up with a bunch of friends from my time in Germany/Austria!

friday faves

I served in those countries for 18 months as a missionary for my church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and I hadn’t seen a bunch of those people in over 6 years! It was a super fun reunion.

We ate a potluck dinner (I forgot to take a pic– some salad stuff, fruit, sandwich, cookie, & piece of Texas sheet cake), and then just gabbed, laughed, smiled, and got teary-eyed. It was a total blast!

My husband was such a good sport!

But being the lover of sleep that I am, when we got home around 11, I was exhausted.

But THIS girl wasn’t done learning her tracks!! (I had 2 more to go)

So I & crammed for BP & CX (duh). Annnnnnd I fell asleep with CX music in my ears…..hah.

friday faves

{BP red & black outfit. & yes, I listened to choreo while getting ready in the bathroom. hah}

It was worth it though to cram so hard, because the relaunch ROCKED!! I nailed it all! (YAY!) And the members loved the releases. I really like the innovations & the work we do in both BP & CX, so I will post reviews soon.

I also watched Conference (click here to know more about what that is & to read/listen to inspiring messages), shopped, cleaned, did laundry, returned items, hung out with my man, and ate a Greek salad.

We slept in!

And I ate a deeeeelicious b-fast.

Then we watched Conference. And it was just so wonderful! A few pinnable images from what was shared were made, so here are a few to brighten your week:

{all pinned from my boards}

We ate dinner & spent the rest of the day on a walk, lounging, and getting ready for the week ahead.

Like I said, it was a great/fabulous weekend!!  And this week is bound to be a good one too..you’ll definitely want to check back tomorrow for some more fun! :)

Have a GREAT day! <3

{I’m off to teach CX & BP <– had to learn more tracks! And GRIT starts again today too!}

    my weekend was great, super busy but super fun. i went and cheered on my friends in galveston for the 70.3 race yesterday, and it was a blast!!! saturday i cycled with a new group of peeps, one of them is a friend from wayyyyy back in the day, and we reconnected. he’s expecting his first son and it’s just so awesome cuz he’s like my brother! he was in the hospital with me when i had my back surgery, so we have a special bond. the best part is that we are both cycling now, something i never thought we’d share!!
    only wrinkle to my weekend was i got a speeding ticket yesterday – doh! i haven’t gotten one in forever! but i was totally busted yesterday and in the middle of nowhere, driving home from galveston to houston. oh well, i was in the wrong and must have needed that reminder. ha! after that i met my family for a yummmmmy dinner at this thai buffet – i had 3 servings of thai dessert.. omg yes i did!!!! some coconut/tapioco/banana thing and it was literally like heaven in a bowl. or in my mouth, lol
    happy monday chica!!! xoxox

    • You live such a balanced life–it’s so awesome to hear about your wonderful things going on! Way to cheer on friends–I bet they LOVED having you there!!!

      And Thai buffet?! YUMMMMM I want, I want!

      • danielle says:

        i’m telling ya, the thai buffet is where it’s at! for realz!!!! for so many years i was terrified of buffets, but not anymore. it’s so liberating and awesome to feel *ok* around all sorts of foods. and best part is that i only got what i wanted, yeah! didn’t get stuff just cuz i felt i had to, nope. not anymore. like the name of your site, we should all enjoy our healthy lives :) xoxox

  7. Loving the stripey purchases!

  8. Annette, I just have to let you know that you are such a positive, inspiring young woman. :) I look forward to reading your blog and adore your enthusiasm. Thank you for being so uplifting!

  9. Glad relaunch went well! My body is still sore from Saturday (marathon day – BP, BF, CX, adn BC!).

    • Daaaaaaang girl!!!

      I’m sore from it too–and I just did BP & CX!

      • I can’t wait for your reviews! You have every reason to be sore – you were practicing them too AND you actually taught (always more grueling). I will say this though, BP tracks 2 and 7 and CX tracks 2 and 4 – OUCH.

  10. I love reconnecting with people who used to be a huge part of my life! It’s always so much fun! :)

  11. I’m glad you had such a nice weekend, I bet that was so great to catch up with all those old friends and colleagues! And CONGRATS on rocking the new release, I know how hard you work on it!

  12. Jennyb says:

    We relaunch at my gym this weekend – do you team teach with other instructors? At my gym all the instructors who teach the programmes come in if they can. so we have 2 or 3 and they do a few tracks each. We are also all going out for a night out at a local bar, I’ve reserved 2 large tables (that’s my role in launch weekend being on the members social committee) and we invite all the group exercise members! Not sure we’ll get the 100 members that came to the Christmas party – but we usually get at least 30. Other than January (because it is too close after Christmas) we do this every time we relaunch! Its a chance for members to get to know each other and the instructors a bit more.

    I’m liking our latest launches, although still yet to try attack and pump.

  13. Sounds like a great weekend! We launched BP this weekend too. SOOOO fun! I need to get my red and black workout attire in for the launches. I have zero red!

    Happy Monday!

  14. Favorite from the weekend was spending time with our parents, we love having them in town!
    and sushi is always worth it 😉

  15. I need some of your upbeat energy. I’m sick at the moment and feeling miserable as I make my way through uni. It’s so hard to study for something you don’t want to do anymore- tips? haha.
