pvBody Outfit Review & Link for 20% Off

Hey friends!

How’s it going mid-week?

I am doing pretty great–I’ve had some really awesome sleep (thankfully, seeing as I get up so freaking early now–how do you all do it?!?!), and feel blessed to teach so much.

Honestly though, my whole body hurts. Yesterday, my biceps & triceps hurt so bad I could hardly straighten my arms. Thanks to GRIT (I bicep curled 88.1 pounds 32 times on Monday…..) & BP 84’s triceps/bicep tracks. OUCH.

I know, I know. It’s my own fault for loving teaching fitness so much. 😉

Luckily my foam roller is my bff & we spend a LOT of quality time together. We’re going to see each other quite often in the coming weeks. 😉

I’ve also spent quality time on the couch watching:

  • Once Upon a Time
  • The Biggest Loser

I’ve never watched TBL before, so it’s kind of a cool experience to see it. I don’t really ever ‘sit & watch’ though, I’m always doing like 3 things at once.

That’s what’s been up with me lately!

pvBody Outfit Review

So, after seeing a bazillion bloggers post about this new website/subscription thing for pv.Body (and seeing the cute outfits all over the web & instagram), I decided to give it a shot. I used another blogger’s special code & got 20% off.

  • Mind you, the link didn’t work and I had to restart twice <–pv.Body’s fault
  • But they DID end up reimbursing me the 20%.
  • So ultimately I got the reduction in price. Nice.

My package came whilst we were out of town, so it was waiting on our doorstep when we came home. Yay! I love fun surprises like that!

I immediately opened it (my husband was like “ummmm… don’t you want to put your bags away at all?” Hah. NOPE)

The pink envelope was callllllling my name.

I tore open the package and was sort of let down. I got blue long-ish pants & a black top.

(In my style quiz, I had said I like darker pants & lighter/colorful tops…. hmmmmm)

However, I decided I would try it on & give it a shot. If I didn’t like it on, I would take it off & change into something else for the class I would teach, and then I’d have to send it back.

So early Tuesday morning the following week, I took a deep breathe & put it on (I hate making returns, so I was kinda anxious I would have to).

Wellllllll I LOVED the outfit! It all fit super perfectly and moved GREAT when I taught.

I liked the fun back on the top & the top is long. I have a pretty long torso (I am 5’8″), so this was a MAJOR plus in my book!

I would’ve never tried on or bought any of these items, so it was fun for me to get & have something different!

And not gonna lie, those blue pants give my booty a niiiiccce lift. 😉

{p.s. follow me on Instagram! @fitnessperks}

So yes, I do LOVE the outfit they sent me, even if it wasn’t exactly what I imagined.

Link to Get 20% Off

If you want to get a subscription, I too have a link you can use for 20% off your order. <–click there. Yay! You get started right away by answering questions on a style quiz, and inputting your info. They’ll send you a package with a top & bottom. Free returns on anything you don’t like & they’ll send you something new. Sweet, eh?

More info on pv.Body (or is it pvBody?!)

Now, with that being said, pv.Body is a newer company.  They are going to begin offering their own line of clothes soon, so there is going to be a switch in the pvBody line. It won’t be clothing from other ‘places.’ It seems like the quality & feel should be pretty similar, but I wanted to give you a heads up.

Also, I feel it is my duty to direct you to this post where comments describe people’s pv.Body experiences. And it ain’t pretty. A nice pv.Body lady answered some questions, but a former pv.Body employee talks about the {very crappy} business ethics of the CEO. Ugh.

Like I said, mine wasn’t necessarily the best experience with pv.Body (no 20% off originally, the links wouldn’t work, and I thought I’d hate what they sent), but I had no problems with it being shipped quickly, my 20% being given back to me, & my actually loving the outfit I was given.

Sometimes you must give things a shot.

I was sort of torn at first in whether I should share all this about pv.Body with you during my review (and option to use my link!), but I feel strongly it is everyone’s right to be informed–especially if you’re wanting to get an outfit. Right now the website says you could get Lululemon clothes in your box, but I’ve only heard of 1 person ever getting a Lulu item. And now, with the switch happening soon (the new line is “Ellie” I believe), there will be no Lulu clothes. So heads up!

Like I said though, it’s a subscription, so you can cancel at any time, no strings attached, which is super nice considering the fact that it’s a newer company & they’re launching that new fitness apparel line that quite possibly could rock or suck.

We shall see.

So anyways, there’s that. And here’s my 20% off your subscription link!

Have a GREAT day! <3

Have YOU tried pvBody yet?? What outfit did YOU get sent?? Have YOU read those comments on Sarah’s post?? <–I am curious as to your guys’ thoughts on this…..

  1. Honestly, I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with pvbody. Their customer service has been MORE than helpful and I absolutely LOVE the clothes they’ve sent me!! I can’t toot their horn enough – I think itz an awesome program, makes for a fun (inexpensive!) gift, and who doesn’t love new cute workout gear and mail?!?!? hehe

    • Nice! Yeah, I hadn’t had it too bad, but then when I read comment on their FB page & Sarah’s post, I was blown away. I had to disclose everything or else I would’ve misled my readers! xo

  2. Thank you for the honest review Annette! I always get a little suspicious when bloggers have nothing but super-positive-sunshine reviews, it’s nice to know what the issues are! I’m hoping I’ll get a chance to check out pv.body eventually (when they ship to Canada) but it’s nice to go into it feeling a little more (honestly) informed.

    • I totally agree. I try hard to be honest about all reviews. I mean if something is crappy, I don’t want bloggers telling me it’s awesome?!

And yes, the pv.body stuff I was sent was really great, but I am just not so sure about their customer service & business practices/ethics. So I wanted to disclose it all. I would hate to mislead readers! Hope you get to try it soon if you want!! xo

I so far havent had the greatest experience with pvBody. I got my first shipment almost a month ago, and I also thought it didn’t really match what I’d put in my style quiz. But more importantly, I tried to exchange the top because it was a little too small. It’s been 3 weeks and I have gotten absolutely no information on what’s going on with it and every email/message I’ve tried to send to their customer support center has been ignored. (I don’t have access to a phone during the day most of the time so I haven’t been able to call.) At this point I think it’s a loss and I’m not going to get the top exchanged. I think I’m going to see what I get in this month’s shipment but most likely I will probably cancel this subscription – if a company has such poor customer service, I don’t want to deal with them.

    • I’m so sorry Karen! :( Apparently a bunch of people have had issues–which is kinda sad b/c I liked the clothes I was sent <--it wasn't exactly what I had in mind either, but it turned out great. I hope you get some info soon & get that exchanged! Best to you!

  4. Danielle Duffey says:

BOY, you are very powerful! I just ordered my outfit and I’m very excited!! Thanks for the information!

    • Yay! That is awesome! Like I said, I got some great stuff, so I hope you enjoy yours too. Let me know if you have questions :)

  5. Jessie says:

It sounds fun- but I think Id rather rave my money and buy a brand I’ve heard of before. Thanks for giving an honest review!

    • I totally understand for sure! I tried it out to see what it was all about, & was pleasantly surprised with my outfit. But boy did I not want to hide from my readers the issues others have experienced. Happy shopping Jessie! 😉

  6. Jessie says:

    **save my money :)

  7. Seriously if pvBody keeps becoming popular no man at the gym will get any work done…we will just be staring the entire time…looks awesome

  8. Loved this post. I have had a very positive experience with them. I loved my outfit that was selected for me and like the idea of them starting their own line. It sounds like they took all the feedback from customers and decided to create what was being requested.

  9. Sounds like a royal PITA! Thanks for your honest post. I guess I saw one of these posts a while back and all sorts of warning bells started going off in my head. I really like to know exactly what I’m getting so I guess it was never for me anyway. BTW, that outfit does look great on you! (prob wouldn’t look so good on 5′ 1″ me!)

  10. I have heard the same thing about their tanks from other bloggers with longer torsos! The outfit looks awesome and I love the color of the leggings. For me pvBody has been fine though I am wary of the bait and switch thing with ellie. I’m glad you did an honest post. After all just because lots of people have been having bad customer service experiences doesn’t mean that I have to say I did! For me, all has gone well! I just am waiting to see how the Ellie quality is before I continue to promote my link.

  11. WOW YOU LOOK FREAKING HOTTTT!!!!! :) That really is all I have to say, LOL!

  12. Thanks for being so honest. I have heard both good and bad about this company. It seems to me that they aren’t out intentionally trying to rip people off, I just think they got in over their heads and couldn’t keep up with the customer service issues. Your outfit is really cute, but I think I’ll hold off unless I hear of some positive changes. Thanks for your honest review and back links to the other site!

  13. Solid review!

  14. Thanks for giving an honest review! I really appreciate it!!

    • Of course! I would never mislead my readers–I think it’s a bunch of bologna when bloggers always say nice stuff about everything they’re given. Nothing can be THAT good. You gotta know the deets on it ALL :)

  15. They don’t come to Australia but I’d like to try it. Hmmm, I hate sketchy companies. You look banging lady!
