A Day in the Life

Hey hey! It’s FRIDAY!

But it’s an obligatory beginning to every blog post that is written on a Friday. Not sure I am right? Go check any blog…..

All in good fun. Fridays ARE special, and I am glad I get to spend a part of it with my husband (he is so freaking busy lately, I feel like I hardly see him), and my little bro. Woot!

A Day in the Life

Deep down I think we are all a bit nosy. We all like to know what is going on in each other’s lives & we obviously enjoy taking peeks into the daily grind of things! If this weren’t true, I don’t think there would be so much blog traffic, do you?!

As a reminder to newer readers, I am a health coach (& health content writer) for an insurance company by day (my full-time paid job)–all of that is from home. I also teach fitness classes part-time (at gyms) & do the blog services part-time (at home).

*As such, there isn’t much travel time or ‘get ready’ time required. So even though it seems I do a lot, you must remember I don’t have a commute, nor am I required to ‘get ready’ every day (even though I do–for my sanity. Hah).*

And as always, each day is VERY different. Some days I teach really early, some days I teach later. I work first if I teach later in the morning, and if I don’t teach at all in the a.m., well, then I can sleep in & have a shorter workout.

Which is exactly what happened yesterday!

A Day in the Life (12/13/12)

8:05 a.m: Woke UP. (I needed sleep bad. My body is tttiiirrreedd.)

Drank fitmixer aminos & ate a half slice of fitmixer protein banana bread

8:20 a.m.: 30 mins CXWORX practice, and 20 mins GRIT practice (in my living room) <–MUST practice lots!!

Presenting for reals NEXT week!

9:10 a.m.: shower & got ready

9:20 a.m.: Checked work emails while prepping breakfast

9:25 a.m.: Ate breakfast while working (I know, I know). Posted blog stuff to Twitter & FB

{x2 + an egg}

9:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Took calls with clients (worked)./ Took 2 breaks to stretch/read some blogs/pin. Ate a snack somewhere in there.

1:30 p.m.: Lunch

1:50-5:20 p.m.: Worked (more calls & some writing work). Took a break to check FB & drink some herbal tea.

{see, I do get dressed. hair? not so much}

5:20-5:30 p.m.: Wrote this blog post (beginning of it)

5:30 p.m.: Ate a snack & got dinner stuff together.

The rest of the evening I ate dinner with my husband, finished this blog post, wrote blog emails, took a trip to Sam’s, read The Happiness Project, talked on the phone, did some Internet shopping, got my Zumba playlist together & ate dessert.

9:45 p.m.: BED!

I lead such an interesting life, eh??

For reals, though, I looovvvve what I do. Oh, and true, I did not teach any fitness classes yesterday–Thursday right now is my day ‘off’. But if I had taught, somewhere around 5 p.m.-ish, I would’ve gotten ready to go teach.

Have a GREAT day, ya all!

What does YOUR day look like?? Is it really structured and/or similar every day?? If YOU could have an extra hour, what would YOU do with it??

    So far I woke up around 5, drank my water and Fitmixer Aminos (THANKS TO YOU ANNETTE! sorry for shouting, but that’s how much I’ve been loving the Fitmixer Aminos. Love love love!!!) then went to the gym for some treadmill action for 50 minutes: slow, med, fast, etc. total under 5 miles. Still recovering from a mega injury after that darn tri. After running I did my physical therapy stretches and exercises, went home, showered/changed; zipped over to work. Ate breakfast at my desk, caught up on all my work emails, and now here I am! just ate the 2nd part of my breakfast and about to have some coffee :)
    I hope to some weights later this afternoon, but my friend is coming tonight from LA so we’ll see. So excited for the weekend, may miss a workout or two πŸ˜‰
