Everyone Has 10 Minutes

Hey you guys!

How is your weekend going so far?

Mine is going splendidly.

{cottage cheese + pumpkin + stevia + cinnamon + FitMixer choc prot powder + almonds + granola = Amazing Fall snack!}

Yesterday was nuts & looonnngg:

  • taught BP at 545 a.m.
  • worked
  • taught Zumba at 9:30
  • worked
  • set up for today’s Gluten-Free Expo (I am representing the Simply Bar with Ashley! Come visit us!)
  • worked (later than usual)
  • cleaned our quite messy apartment
  • chilled with the husband

Long day indeed.

But it was wonderful too!

Everyone Has 10 Minutes

Quick fitness tip coming at ya!

I am the type of trainer/friend/sister who has a no-excuses-for-workouts mindset. My sisters & clients love/hate me for this of course, but it’s all in good fun. 😉

So when someone has an excuse (sometimes they’re legit & sometimes they’re totally bogus), I usually just say “suck it up.”

Okay. I am kidding.

I (think that & then I) say, “just do 10 minutes then.”

:) Everyone has 10 minutes. I promise. If you have a FB account or TV, you have 10 minutes for exercise. And if you think you don’t, then come talk to me.

Did ya all know, in regards to your workout, that if you just tell yourself “I’ll do 10 minutes,” it ends up working magic and you’ll most likely continue on for a longer workout?!

It’s because the endorphins, sweat, heart rate increase, biochemicals, hormones, increased blood flow, and pure enjoyment that comes during those 10 minutes all work together to motivate you to go on. To dig deeper. To chug on a little further.

{sometimes the endorphins make you want to do your hair. Okay….maybe this happens 1x/month for me.}

Our bodies want us to move. So give ’em that chance by just hopping into your fitness clothes, lacing up the sneaks, and bang out 10 minutes…..

….You’ll probably end up doing more, but at least you did SOMEthing.

You’re welcome.

******

Have a GREAT weekend! I’ll be at the Expo alllllll day long!

What do YOU tell yourself if YOU know you ‘should’ exercise but a part of YOU kinda doesn’t wanna?? What are YOU doing today??

  7. I know how guilty and blah I’ll feel if I skip a workout just because I don’t feel like it. That usually motivates me enough to just get up and do it and stop making excuses. Most of the circuit workouts I do at home are around 20-30 minutes so it’s a small time commitment. Still, I wish I had no tolerance for excuses like you seem to! I’ve gotten much better I suppose since working out all the time has become a routine. So I guess it’s progress!
