FitMixer Protein Banana Bread (+ Giveaway Winner)

Hey friends!

How’s it going?? I am GREAT. This week is rocking already:

  • We (went back to Ikea) & got some Ikea furniture for our bedroom & living room. (finally!)
  • I am practicing choreo like crazy for the BodyPUMP 83 launch on Saturday! <–I am launching it all by myself, so I have to know the whole thing by Sat. (Love it, yes, but that’s tough.)
  • We found some stuff in storage that I had been missing, and now it’s out.
  • I ate a turkey/cheese/spinach panini for lunch yesterday. I’ve missed those things & MAN that was good!
  • I decorated our table for Fall.

I did a little experimenting in my (new!) kitchen last week, and ohhhhh boy it turned out delicious.

FitMixer Protein Banana Bread


  • 2/3 cup almond milk
  • 4 tsp lemon juice (I used 2 drops of lemon oil)
  • 2 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 stevia packets
  • 1 heaping scoop FitMixer Vanilla Milkshake Protein powder
  • 3 Tb cinnamon/1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (room temp/slightly heated is best, because it mixes better)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tb vanilla
  • 5 mashed bananas (I used ones that were frozen)


  1. Mix lemon juice/almond milk together in small bowl & let it stand.
  2. In another larger bowl, mix dry ingredients together.
  3. Mash bananas in a bowl with 2 Tb cinnamon.
  4. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients & add the wet. Finally pouring the lemon juice/milk in.
  5. Mix until dry is mixed into wet.
  6. Pour into baking pans (2 large loaf pans) & bake!

–Bake at 360 degrees for 55 minutes (or until toothpick comes out clean!)–

Yummy, HIGH protein, whole wheat bread. BRING it on.

EAT and enjoy this, topped with whatever your heart desires. (You can also make a loaf with chocolate chips. As we did. Also tasty!)

My heart desires? Salted almond butter with a side of almond milk. Mmmmmm!

  4. I usually sub in Greek yogurt for the oil, actually. It makes breads and baked goods really moist plus adds some protein and calcium. Your bread looks super tasty and I love your table too! Good luck practicing for the Body Pump launch, I can’t wait to try 83!

  5. Yum! Looks good! I would’ve never thought to add lemon juice though! I almost always top my banana bread with peanut butter or almond butter!

  7. Love this idea! I love high protein snacks, and I love banana bread so clearly this is a fabulous idea. Lately I’ve been using coconut oil in my baking and it’s been working great!

    And I’m a coconut oil lover. I use it in everything!
