Hey friends!
How are you doing today?? I am good, so ready to hit the airport after finishing up some work, though. I am going to…..
……DENVER!
Yep, I am smushing two awesome things into one long weekend: family + fitness conference.
FitFluential, My Refuel with Chocolate Milk, and the Fitness & Health Bloggers’ Conference have graciously extended me an invitation to come to the blogger’s fitness conference in Denver this weekend, and I am stoked! As a FitFluential ambassador, I applied for a scholarship, and get to go.
It’s such an awesome blessing! Thank you to all our sponsors!
I can’t wait to meet other bloggers, listen to some great panels, and get more education in areas of fitness and blogging. Plus, of course, I get to see my brand new nephew, my sisters, all their kids, and my brother.
Seriously, can’t wait!

You all know I like doing interval workouts -mainly because it is time efficient, sweaty, fun, and makes the time fly. Well, Tabata is another form of intervals, the intervals are just shorter.
For example, you could do 1 move for 30 seconds, then rest for 10. Or do a move for 40 seconds, and rest for 20.
The key is keeping the moves explosive, and watching the clock.
Yep. See what I mean? You can just stick this routine into your normal, morning routine……just do it before the shower.
Thankful Thursday
- I am thankful for sleep. My body neeeeeded it last night.
- I am super grateful for hot, herbal tea. Made my crappy day that much better!
- I am very thankful for my husband’s sweatshirt–it may sound weird, but I love wearing this huge, old sweatshirt b/c it smells like him! (And yes, some days I don’t get dressed for work at home. Hehe)
Have a GREAT day my friends!
(p.s. thanks for all your kind words on yesterday’s post. I reaaaallllyyy appreciated it!)
What is something YOU are grateful for today?? Does YOUR morning routine include a workout?? Have YOU tried Tabatas??

This one looks good! I am in need of a new workout, so I may try this!!
its quick and dirty
Enjoy!
I’m thankful for our annual family vacation that starts in six hours! So need a break from work.
Your weekend sounds awesome too! I love morning workouts but I work at 6:30-7 so it’s hard to fit a morning workout in. I enjoy working out at my leisure though so I don’t over due it.
I’m also thankful for my health. Thanks for sharing your amazing blog.
Ooooh HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!
wow, what a great opportunity for you!! i’m sure it will be a fun-filled weekend for sure.
today i am thankful for this BEAUTIFUL weather we’ve been having! sunny, blue skies, and mild temps – i LOVE it.
I know-such gorgeous weather!
Enjoy it while I am gone, kk?! xoxo
I hope you have a blast at the Fitness and Health Blogger’s Conference. My morning routine does not include a workout – other than some gentle stretching and ab work. I prefer to use my mornings for e-mail, blogging, and cuddling with my daughter before I head into work. Today I am grateful that my husband is working 2nd shift at his company – 2 weeks ago we thought he was going to be laid off – so even though he s working strange hours, he is working!
thank you!
YAY for your husband!! Have a good day, Kimberly
woohoo!! have fun girl! it sounds like its gonna be a blast
i’m a frequent morning workout girl..i love how it feels to start the day off with a good dose of endorphins!
today I am thankful for air conditioning..its SUPER HOT over here!
YES to the frequent endorphins. Major love <3
Have an awesome time in Denver, that conference looks like a blast!!!
I love morning workouts and I’ll definitely be doing a bulk of my half IM training in the a.m., plus some cycling on my trainer in the p.m. I prefer cardio type stuff in the morning and weights around lunchtime, mainly cuz my muscles feel more warmed up later in the day. Lifting a heavy weight doesn’t really sound fun til after I’ve had my coffee anyway, lol. Yes, I’ve tried a Tabata style workout on a stationary bike and holy smokes it kicked my butt, literally! So much harder than it seemed, which is a good thing cuz it was done so quick.
I’m so thankful for my job and actually liking the people I work with, and I’m also thankful for my training mates because I don’t think any of the weekend long runs, swimming and cycling would be as enjoyable if it weren’t for them
Have a fabulous trip and thanks for another great post!
Have so much fun!
I am so jealous, I LOOOOOVE Denver! Have a blast!
Jealous you’re going to the conference. I so want to go (sniff, sniff)!
Have fun for us all that couldn’t go!
I love tabata this is a great workout hun
have a great getaway <3 I LOVE YOU
Enjoy the conference! I’m sure you’ll learn a lot.
