Why Blue Diamond Almonds?

Good morning!

How was your weekend?! Ours was awesome–busy, and go-go-go, but fabulous!

Here are some pictures from ours:

Yep. Awesomesauce.

After a work week that was 75+ hours long (seriously), we enjoyed cheesy spinach paninis, sweet potato fries, fro yo, a movie (“This Means War”–hilarious!), 29 mile bike ride (training for the ironman ahhh!), and flowers for Mother’s Day.

It was awesome!

And now I am in an airport waiting for my plane to take me to my work meeting in OH. It’s going to be a crazy full few days (and I am presenting too! yikes!), so if I am somewhat absent (emails, blogs, twitter), that is why. Thanks for understanding :)

Why Blue Diamond Almonds?

So, did you all know that Blue Diamond almonds are the bomb? Well, if you didn’t, grab some at your next shopping trip and find out for yourself! They have THE best flavors and they taste out.of.this.world.

Guess what else?!

Blue Diamond Growers are proud to announce that a variety of Blue Diamond Almonds have been certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) as a heart-healthy food. Not only are Blue Diamond Almonds a delicious snack, but they are good for your heart and good for your health! The following flavors now feature the AHA Heart-Check mark:

  • Whole Natural
  • Roasted Salted
  • Low Sodium
  • Sea Salt
  • No Salt
  • Honey Dijon

Cool, eh?! Heart disease is, right now, the number one killer among women, and that is not something to be trifled with. I think it’s great that Blue Diamond almonds now make it easier for consumers to recognize easily what counts-nutrition wise-as being a part of a heart healthy lifestyle.

The American Heart Association works to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Heart disease is American’s number one killer and is completely preventable by following a number of health measures, one of which is eating healthy. When a consumer spots the AHA Heart-Check mark on food packaging, they can rest assured that the food meets the strict guidelines for a heart-healthy food.

My favorite way to eat Blue Diamond almonds is as a snack, atop of cottage cheese, mixed into cereal bowls, in salads, and on top of fro yo or ice cream! My favorite flavor is Sea Salt–soooo good!

****If you are a Blue Diamond almond lover as well (or if you want to be!), join us in a week, Monday 21st, at 8 p.m. CST for a twitter chat all about Blue Diamond almonds-with the hashtag: #BlueDiamond .****

And now I am off to chomp on my almonds (eating healthy while traveling) while I wait for my plane!

Have a great day, friends! :)
