Healthy Living Survey

Good morning! And HAPPY FRIDAY :)

It has been an awesome week (with a killer workout!!), so I am stoked for a great weekend too. Hopefully the sun will come out, so I can get some sunshine (with sunscreen on) in my life. When you work inside all day, it is SO nice to be outside as much as possible when you can!

But then again, I’ve taken to following Janetha’s lead and have tried to squeeze in more activity throughout the workday outside. (Check out this post for more deets and possible prizes!)

Thanks to Ashley and Paige, I have a fun survey to fill out-and you get to read it.

Wahoo!

Healthy Living Survey -Get to know the Fitness Perks Lady

1.  What did you eat for breakfast?

I’ll eat/drink a huge cup of water + an orange right when I wake up. And then I’ll have an egg, spinach, jam & cheese on whole wheat toast. And chocolate milk post workout.

{recycled photo, but it’ll look just like that}

2.  How much water do you drink each day?

Around 80 ounces. Give or take. (Remember, I sweat a lot because I teach and workout often, so water is a must.)

3.  What is your current favorite workout?

Teaching BodyPUMP! And doing fun circuits on my own.

4.  How many calories do you eat each day?

Around 2100-2400 calories per day.

5.  What are your favorite healthy snacks?

  • cottage cheese + protein powder + Go Lean Crunch
  • whole wheat tortilla + sunbutter + soynuts + honey
  • hummus + bell pepper/veggies
  • salsa + Greek yogurt + black beans

6.  What do you usually eat for lunch?

Totally depends! Either leftovers from dinner the night before, a salad topped with chicken, or a turkey-cheese-spinach panini.

7.  What is your favorite body part to train?

Quads! (I LOVE every kind of squat.)

8.  What is your least favorite body part to train?

Biceps. Ugh.

9. What are your “bad” food cravings?

I don’t believe in bad foods-there is no such thing!

But when I want salty I usually go for pizza, eggs, or pita chips. When I want sweet I always go for fro yo, ice cream, or dark chocolate.

10.  Do you take vitamins or supplements?

Oh yes! Daily I take an omega 3, a multi, a bone nutrient, and a cell vitality one.

11.  How often do you eat out?

1-2 times per month–unless there is a special occasion. We tend to always eat at home (it’s actually easier with our schedules).

But fro yo….3-4 x per month. :)

12.   Do you eat fast food?

Nope. (If Subway is fast food, then on occasion.) I totally dislike greasy or fried foods-they’ve never really appealed to me in the past several years.

13.  Who is your biggest supporter?

My husband!! And my family. I love all of them and appreciate their support! Oh and I have amazing friends and readers. Thank YOU!

14.  Do you have a gym membership?

I get free ones to every gym I teach at….so yes. I’ve got lots of ’em. 😉

15.  How many hours of sleep do you get each night?

8-9.5. I am a sleep-o-holic and totally okay with that! (My husband is too, because I am miss cranky pants if I get less than 8.)

16.  Do you have a “cheat” day?

Nope. I don’t believe in ‘cheat days’ or ‘off days’ or ‘done with a diet’ days.

I eat tons of whole foods- fruits, veggies, legumes, beans, nuts, whole grains every day, and when I want cookies, ice cream, pizza, chocolate, or fro yo, I have it. I almost never overeat those things because I know I can have them when I want them!

{Because of my journey and recovery, I now know when my body is to the point of ‘almost sugar overdose,’ and I try not to push that button too often. 😉 }

17.  Do you drink alcohol?

Nope.

18.  Do you have a workout buddy?

Not exactly. But I guess all the people who attend my classes are my buddies and friends!

19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?

My confidence level has skyrocketed! It’s amazing to me that a healthy perspective and a healthy relationship with food & my body could have helped me in all other aspects of life too. SO cool!

Plus, I’m the strongest (physically) I’ve ever been, and that came because I stepped outside my usual routine and went for it! Anyone can have this if they commit to trying new things, facing their fears, and learn to love themselves. :)

20.  What was the last healthy thing you did?

Got lots of sleep!

Have a GREAT Friday, my friends!

What is the last healthy thing YOU did?? What exciting weekend plans do YOU have?? Did anything surprise YOU about me in the above survey??

  1. I made an enormous batch of steel cut oats for a staff breakfast this morning! The typical Friday morning breakfast at school is donuts and bagels, but since I’m in charge of this one we’re having bagels and an oatmeal bar. Hehe. (Ok sidenote: we are having cake too, but that’s because breakfast is doubling as a shower for one of my co-workers!)

  2. last healthy thing I did was go to spinning and lifting weights this morning :)

i’m doing a LOT of cooking and having quality time with family and friends…couldnt ask for anything better. happy friday girl!!

Did anything surprise YOU about me in the above survey??
I was surprised you said “biceps” for you least favorite because you have good ones, lol

  5. I’m the total opposite – I love doing arms & biceps but I’m not too big on quads at all! haha. Nice survey, nice getting to know you 😛

  6. Hmm…the last healthy thing I did? Pack a healthy snack :). I’m with ya on lots of sleep! I need close to 9 hours consistently in order to feel good. Happy Friday pretty lady!! Have a great one <3

  7. krystal says:

I agree with you on the cheat day concept. That doesn’t work for me, I feel I’ll just go overboard. I love my sleep too!

  8. Love your answers! Sleep and water will never steer you wrong, I always make sure I get plenty of both! Biceps are one of my favorite body parts to train, only because I’m so desperate for them to grow! 😉 I’m starting to like chest day a lot more as well.
