“Wake Up!” Treadmill Workout

Good Morning!! :)

Happy mid-week, my friends. It’s been a good week so far….well, mostly good.

But what I’ve realized is this : we can either choose to look at our challenges and difficulties as just that, OR we can choose to see them as beautiful gifts of growth from God (or whatever Deity you look to)-a.k.a. blessings in disguise.

I choose the latter, because they really ARE gifts of growth–and usually turn into those eventual blessings. We just cannot see that from our limited vision or our standpoint.

On a really happy note, I now have my very own BodyPUMP class! Woot. So happy about that (because of moving, you have to ‘earn’ a class and all)-and last night it went so well! I already love those ladies (-no men came. Boo!).

Yesterday morning, however, did not start out so happy. I wanted to do a longer run outside (as mentioned), but it was pouring rain when I woke up. That is a NO go for me, my friends. Some of you might be hardcore runners and go rain or shine, but I do not.

So I sloooowwwllllyyy dragged my butt to the gym. I SO did not want to run. I didn’t want to do anything really. BUT, I knew how good I would feel if I just started. (You never regret a workout!)

So start I did. Nice and slooowwwww.

And then this workout was born! Lucky you, I am sharing it with you :) You know, for that day when you reeeaaallllyyyy want to stay in bed, but know you’ll feel better if you just get up and DO it.

There you have it! NO excuse to skip the gym–because I just gave you a workout where you get to start by ‘sleeping!’ 😉

{he’s usually super smiley-but I have like no pics of him from recently. sad!}

    My next workout is going to be BodyPump 80 tonight because I have to learn it as an instructor! I have a lot of work to do though!

    When I cannot get up I don’t think about it – and just do it! My husband has just been starting to workout and that keeps me motivated!

  5. i think you probably know what my latest “blessing in disguise” has been lately. 😉 it’s been rough, but a ton of GOOD has come out of it too. God has been teaching me so much in the past month or so!

  6. Today is a rest day. But, tomorrow is a shake out run before my long run on Friday. I mentally try to remind myself how good I feel after I get out of bed in the am and work out. Once I remember, then I get up. The power of the mind!

    i am DEF not one of those runners that likes to run in the rain..i dread the treadmill but will get on there when I need to. this workout made me smile, i love it!! Those days that I’m groaning over my alarm clock going off so early for the gym…i tell myself that i will feel SO much better after a workout and all it takes is me getting my booty out of bed. Its hard but always worth it 😉

  8. This is my kind of workout. I have to keep my fingers busy on the treadmill or I get bored. Awesome you have your own class! Even though I didn’t love BP, I would so come to yours!

  9. My latest blessing in disguise was not getting hired for a teaching job at another school that I interviewed for (and everyone thought I was a shoo-in for). It all happened for a reason, which I have come to see now. :)

  12. Love the looks of that workout! And whenever I get to the gym and I’m tired, it’s amazing how you can start out feeling sleepy and then just snap out of it and be super awake! Happy birthday to your bro :)
