Walk The Hills Treadmill Workout

Hey you guys! Good morning :)

I arrived safely….and into the arms of my husband I went! So glad to be ‘home’ now 😉 By the way, it’s going to be a whirlwind of unpacking and getting settled around here, so if I am a tad absent from blogs/twitter/email for a few days, you know why!

I could not pack, move, and fly out without a really, good sweaty workout to get me going (and keep me sane!), so I headed to the trusty treadmill to do just that. I really loved this workout I created!

{Wow, that sounded really snooty and boastful! Hah.}

So I enjoy walking–and walking counts as great exercise, but I love the feel of running too, and I loooovvveee hills. (Who am I?!) So yesterday I decided to do all of my favorites, and this workout was born!

It is easy to follow, super sweaty, really exciting (goodbye boredom), and might get some of you to incorporate more hills. 😉 But do not be fooled by the name of it, there is some legit running in there too!

“Walk The Hills” Treadmill Workout

‘Tis a good one! And if you’re looking to add in more ‘umph’ to your workouts, and you know, CHANGE things up, this workout will do that for ya.

Because let’s be honest, if you keep doing what you’ve always done, your life will get slightly boring, and well, nothing will ever change!

  3. I’ve started Jillian Michaels 6week Abs video. I’m hoping it will help get me toned up before my first beach trip in May. The only thing I don’t understand is if I’m suppose to do it everyday or rest a few days. I know muscles need a day or so to recoop but she doesn’t talk about how often you should do the video. :/

    • It depends, but for the most part, yes, hard-worked muscle groups should be rested for at least 24 hours. Hope that helps :)

    • WAHOO!! So happy for you :) I like to listen to the songs in my car, so I do the moves in my head. It helps SO much. It DOES get easier with time, I promise. Now, I can learn ’em in a few hours, whereas before, it took days (even weeks for the first one. Hah)! GOOD LUCK! Keep me updated!

  6. oooohhh this looks like a good workout, definitely trying it out when I’m feeling better! my workout was 7 miles, but might be one of my last runs for a bit..i’m trying to get over tendonitis and it sucks.

  7. I’ve never done a walking/running workout before, I might have to give this a try! I’m hoping to work on inclines, there aren’t many hills here in chicago so i’ve gotten a bit complacent with sticking to 0 incline!

  11. this is a great workout! i totally need something like this for when there is no group fitness class for me to take but i still want cardio in. i can do this while reading a mag which is what i like. thank youuuuu! pinned :)

  13. That’s so funny. I tried incline walking at the end of my treadmill intervals today–I lasted five minutes!
