Weights + Cardio Circuit Workout

Hello my icing-lover friends! <—read the comments of that post and you’ll know why I said that 😉

What a day yesterday was….boring on the work front, but exciting at the gym: At the gym I not only hopped on a spin bike to spin my life away (remember how I was ‘scared’ of bikes because of my accident?!), I completed all the pushups during the shoulders track while teaching BodyPUMP 80, on my toes (minus 4 of ’em)!! Thats 34 pushups (well 30 because 4 were on my knees)!!! Woot.

People, lifing weights makes you stronger. Being stronger makes you fitter. Being fitter makes you sexier, happier, look better, and be more confident in all areas of your life. If you don’t learn but ONE thing from me, learn that :)

And because we all don’t have BodyPUMP or treadmills at our fingertips, here is a workout to get the heart rate UP and the muscles toned that can be done almost anywhere. What da’ya say?!

Oh, and it’s only 35 minutes long. Saaawwweeeet! (See other workouts I’ve posted)

If you don’t have dumbbells, no problem–just grab cans of food, cartons of milk, or little children 😉 Hehe.

This is a workout that is fun, challenging, and over before you know it. Plus, it’ll make you smile, sweat, get toned, and challenge your body in a new way.

Thankful Thursday

  1. I am grateful for scarves. I love, love wearing them!
  2. I am thankful for cashews–they make any day better.
  3. I am super thankful for (rare) evenings when the husband and I have nothing on the schedule but chat and chill.

Have a GREAT day– I am off to dance. Boy do I love teaching Zumba…..more on that at a later date :)

  3. i love love love spinning..i like the classes at my gym but i might look into actually going to a seperate spin studio..could be FUN!

    I am thankful for date nights with my boyfriend…we havent gone out in a while and we are going out tonight! i agree with you though, i LOVE the nights where we have nothing on the agenda except just chilling :)

    I’m currently loving my “run 3 miles, then do weights in the living room while catching up on shows” workout. 30 minutes has gone by and I don’t even realize it!

      The secret is yes, keep doing ’em! Do as many as you can on your toes and then go to your knees—keep good form and tighten the abs as you do them<---it makes it easier!

  6. Ahhh my gym used to have Zumba, but when it was purchased by another gym they got rid of it! So upsetting…
