Greatest Pizza Dough Ever

Hey guys :)

Wahoo-weekend time!

One of my favorite meals to eat on the weekend is pizza. I think this is because it has the ‘rap’ of being a weekend food…..and most people think it’s unhealthy.

Well…..it can be:

for the husband (prob not the most healthy pizza ever....)

 

But for me, pizza can be an amazing meal that combines healthy fats, lean protein, lots of veggies, and complex carbohdyrates! It does need to be done RIGHT, though.

Think of it as a complete 1 pot meal of deliciousness. Plus, this recipe is SO easy. If I think it’s easy, it’s easy. Trust me 😉 Plus, you probably have all the ingredients to make it this weekend, and it only takes a few minutes.

Greatest Pizza Dough Ever

Makes 4 large pizzas (yah leftovers!)
Prep time: 7 mins. Cook time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients
  • 3 Tablespoons yeast
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups warm water
  • 4 Tablespoons oil
  • 8- 8 1/2 cups flour (can do all WW, or half WW/ half white if you want it less ‘healthy’)
  • 1 tablespoons salt
 Directions
  • Mix ingredients together well (as listed)
  • Use dough mixture within 30 min of making it (doesn’t need much time to rise! score!)
  • Roll dough out on pizza stone
  • Top with toppings (spices, cheese, chicken, tofu, peppers, spinach, onions, oh MY!)
  • Bake 450 for 10-15 minutes

Eat it with a green side salad, cup of cold water, and a side of amazing husband…..Oh wait, I snagged him, so sorry! You can just stick with the salad and water.

  1. Oh my YUM !! I have never made dough from scratch, this does look suuuuper easy though – can’t wait to try! Favourite pizza toppings usually include sweet potato, spinach, feta, roasted tomatoes and onion.. ahh so good :)

  3. i LOVE homemade pizza on the weekends! i have to totally agree with you on that. 😉 i’ve never made dough from scratch… i’ll usually buy the prepackaged (but fresh!) stuff. i suppose it’s just because i’ve always been intimidated by it, but this recipe looks super easy! i’m going to give it a shot – maybe next weekend? 😉

      We just made this pizza for dinner tonight because I was craving it (again). SO good. I love the Bosch :)

  5. I love sundried tomatoes, artichokes and spinach in my pizza! Lol I also prefer pizza with lots of red sauce and little to no cheese!

    i always buy my dough at whole foods. i need to just make my own already!

    • It is insanely easy– I’ve never bought dough before, because this is so simple! I made it again tonight– did 3/4 of the amount with whole wheat, 1/4 with white, and a bit of flax seed. DE-licious!

  8. Oh yum that pizza looks amazing! I absolutely love pizza…it’s such a good comfort food, and I always enjoy try to make it healthier and less greasy!

  10. I’ve never been a fan of typical pizza, but yours looks great! My favorite pizza growing up was the one my mom would roll out in a big jelly roll pan. :) I think a whole wheat crust would be fabulous! I’ve always wanted to try it on the grill too….

  11. I love pizza on the weekend too! It really does feel like such an indulgence but it really isn’t if it’s done right….

    I LOVE greek pizza…I also love veggies and goat cheese!!

    Just found your recipe and it looks great! This may be a dumb question but if I want to make it for my husband and me and you said it makes 4 large pizzas, what do I do with the other dough – freeze it? Or is one large pizza a serving?
